One More for the "Bad Luck" Series

Yesterday, I had a flat tire. I'm not kidding.

So, I just laughed. What else can you do?

I hope this is the last. Again, I want to emphasize: although I've had this string of bad luck, none of it is catastrophic, so I count my blessings!

  1. Hi! I have been reading your posts since you've returned from your vacation and I've wanted to write in response to several of your threads. So many important things I'd love to comment on! I've been feeling your pain as this string of unfortunate events have been testing you lately! I can't help think that the lost luggage went a long way in preparing you for the fridge, washer and now, the flat tire! I too, had to laugh at the irony of this latest fiasco. While I'd love to think like your friend, that these are all purely coincidental events, I do believe that when things start to pile on, it doesn't hurt to question why this may be so. I think you've kept it all in marvelous perspective and I'm glad that you're chuckling along with the universe. There may have been no other point to it than that! : ) Hang in there. I'll try to get to my other comments in the days to come.

  2. Hi Pat,

Thank you for your sympathy! Part of what I'm appreciating too is the wonderful helpfulness of other people. The things that daunt and distress me can be easy and obvious for others, and people very often love to help each other out when this is the case. Hopefully it goes the other way as well -- that I have meaningful ways of helping others out even if I am afraid of fuse boxes and such...

I look forward to your other comments, as you have time. I continue enjoy reading your blog as well!
